corruptions takes a new dimension in India.

India with latest scams,may soon become one of the most corrupt democracy in  the world.This is happening ,when one of the most honest,educated,dignified person is leading the country.What is wrong with us?what has gone wrong? Why our politicians and industrialists have become so greedy?We have familiar excuse of always telling that when the whole system is corrupt what individual can do? Hence corruption is justified,glorified and corrupt people have a dignified place in society.

Individuals being corrupt is no more important now.Systemic corruption is most important and has taken a most dangerous dimension. Before liberalisation the corruption was limited to a few individuals and the amount involved was never more than few crores.Even  during licence raj the corruption was never so much as we see today.Much talked about Bofors was only 64 crores.Harshad mehta claimed that he has given one crore to then Prime ministrer.If any body makes a such a claim today  people will laugh at him.Even SUKHRAM house only four crore was unearthed by CBI which made big news those days.

Now a days even a corporater  in BBMP is involved in 87 crores scam.State Ministers might be dealing in houndreds of crores  and Chief Ministrers in thousands of crores.Therefore ,it is obivious,that there is big fight for becoming a minister at all levels.If  you talk of central goverments scams are in thousands or in lakhs of crores.

With all these corruption none of the politicians or judges have been jailed so far,is an indication there is total failure of contorl mechanism.Men at the highest level made themselves immune to any kind investigation or punishment.

However,punishment as a deterrent which may not completely  able to remove corruption.Prevention is better than cure.Therefore, we should learn from advanced democracies how we can eliminate corruption.Unless we do this we may not remain  as free society for long.Let us put in mechanism to prevent corruption as early as possible .Time is running out.It should start from top.This may need great sacrifice,but it should be done if we are to save this country from anarchy.

So much moral degradation has set in  all walks of life,right from small officials to highest level corruption is wide spread.It is not limited to any political party.All are same when they are in power.
I have tried to find some reasons for this.

1.Economic liberalisation should have been resorted after putting proper control  mechanism.Laws should have amended to punish those who would  miss use the liberalisation mechanism.We should learn something from Singapore.
2.law should be applicable to all,including politicians,industrialists,bureaucrats etc.There should be system which will monitor this.
3.Judiciary should also be not above law.Corruption in Judiciary is most dangerous and should be  dealt with more severely.
4.Appointment to top posts like CVC,ELECTION COMMISSIONER,cabinet secretary,chief secretary,CBI Director,STATE POLICE CHIEFS SHOULD BE DONE BY RESPECTIVE LEGISLATURE/PARLIAMENT.
5.Police commission should be constituted in all states to take care of appointments,transfer,modernisation of police force.Political interference should be avoided.
6 A separate body for fraud investigation in state and central level should be formed with full powers to investigate and punish the guilty.

All corruption in society is related to corrupt practice followed in election.Unless we curb the money power during election and elect educated people,we are bound to face more problems in future.

Last but not least important thing is the participation criminals in electoral process.All major parties should take solemn oath that ,they will never field a criminal as candidate and also law should amended to barring them in participating for election.

ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷನಲ್ಲಿ' ಸ್ಕಾಂ' ಅಂದರೆ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಗರಣ ಎಂಬ ಅರ್ಥ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಂತೆ.ಹತ್ತಾರು ಜನರು ಒಟ್ಟು ಸೇರಿ [ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ ಗಳಿರಬಹುದು,ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಲಿರಬಹುದು ಅಥವಾ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಆಗಿರಬಹುದು  ] ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ಲೂಟಿಮಾಡಿ ಸರಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ  ಅಥವಾ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ  ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡುವ ಘನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ 'ಹಗರಣ' ಎಂಬ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ  ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.ಹಗರಣಗಳು ನಂಮತಹ  ಜನರಿಗೆ ದಿನನಿತ್ಯ ಕುಳಿತು ಹರಟೆ ಹೊಡೆಯಲು ಒಂದು ವಿಷಯವಾದರೆ ,ಈ ಮಹಾನ್ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಇದೊಂದು ವ್ಯವಹಾರ ವಾಗಿದ್ದು ತಮ್ಮ ಹತ್ತು ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಆಗುವಷ್ಟು ಹಣ ಮಾಡುವ ಒಂದು ಸದವಾಕಾಶ.
ಇತ್ತೀ ಚಿಗೆ  ಇದೊಂದು ಮಾಮೂಲಿ ವಿಷಯ ವಾಗಿದೆ.ಭೋಫೋರ್ಸ್ ನಿಂದ  ಸುರುವಾದ ಹಗರರಣಗಳ [ ಬರೇ ೬೪ ಕೋಟಿ] ಒಂದು ಅದ್ಯಾಯವು ದಿನದಿಂದ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಳೆದು ಈಗ commonwealth ಹಗರಣ [ಕೇವಲ ೭೦೦೦೦ ಕೋಟಿ] 2G  ಹಗರಣದ [ಅಂದರೆ ೧,೭೬೦೦೦ ಕೋಟಿ] ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪಿದೆ ಅಂದರೆ ,ಇಂತಹ ಹಗರಣದ ಪಿತಾಮಹಾರಾದ ರಾಜೀವ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ನರಸಿಂಹ ರಾಯರು  ಸ್ವರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ನಗುತ್ತಿರಬೇಕು .ಹರ್ಷದ್ ಮೆಹತ  ತಾನೆಸ್ಟು ಮೂರ್ಖ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರಬಹುದು.ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಗರಣಕ್ಕು ಹಾಗೂ ಟೆಲಿಕಾಂ ಗೂ ಏನೋ ಒಂದು ಸಮ್ಹಂದ ಇದೆ .ಮಾನ್ಯ ಸುಕರಾಮ್ ಅವರಿಂದ ಸುರುವಾದ ಈ ಹಗರಣ [ಕೇವಲ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕೋಟಿ] ಇಂದು ೧೭೬೦೦೦ ಕೋಟಿ ತಲುಪಿ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ತೆಲೆಪೋನ್ ಹೆಮ್ಮರವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿದೆ .ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಳುವ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳ ಈ ಘನ ಕಾರ್ಯ ದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮದೇಶವು ಲಂಚದ ರೇಟಿಂಗ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ  ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲೇ ೧೮೪ ಸ್ಥಾನ ತಲುಪಿದೆ ಎಂದರೆ ನಾವು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಪಡಬೇಕು.ಸದ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ನಾವು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ .
ನಾವು ಇಂತಹ ಘನ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದು ವರಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ನಾವು ಮುಂದುವರಿದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಎಂಬುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯಾರು ಅನುಮಾನ ಪಡಬಾರದು.
ನಮ್ಮದೇಶದ ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮಿ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದವರು ಸಹಾ  ಹಗರಣದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾವೇನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ದೇಶದ ಮೊಟ್ಟಮೊದಲ ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮಿ ಸರಕಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಗರಣಗಳು ಒಂದೇ, ಎರಡೇ  ? ಇವರು  ಹಿಂದೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನಾಳಿದ ಪಕ್ಷ ೬೦ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡ ಲಾಗದಿದ್ದನ್ನು  ಇವರು ಕೇವಲ ಎರಡೇ  ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ  ಮಾಡಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಗಣಿ,ಭೂಮಿ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ    ಧಾರೆ ಎರದು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ,ಆಳುವವರು ಹೇಗೆಲ್ಲ ನುಂಗ  ಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬೇರೆ ಪಕ್ಷ ದವರು ಕೈ ಕೈ ಹಿಸುಕಿಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಹಣೆಗೆ ಬಡಿದು ಕೊಳ್ಳುತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಇವರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಉದ್ದಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಭವಿಶ್ಯ  ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾವು ಚಿಂತೆ ಪಡಬೇಕು.ಇನ್ನು ಹತ್ತು ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಋಷ್ಯಮೂಕ ಪರ್ವತ ನೆಲಸಮ ವಾಗುತ್ತೆ .ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟ ನಿರ್ನಾಮ ವಾಗಬಹುದು  .ಮಲೆನಾಡು ನೆಲನಾಡು ಆಗಬಹುದು.
ಇವೆಲ್ಲದರ  ನಡುವೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಪ್ರಜೆ ತನಗೇನು ಸಂಭಂದ ವಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ತಮಾಷೆ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.ಪಾಪ! ವೋಟು ಕೊಟ್ಟವರೆಲ್ಲ ಹೀಗಾದರೆ ಅವನಾದರೂ ಏನು ಮಾಡಿಯಾನು ?

Why many professionals taking to criminality ?

Now days it is very sad to know , more and more educated young  highly paid professionals becoming criminals of the worst kind.Now a days why these educated middle class people are taking to criminality ,especially techies:there is serious need to  ponder over.I strongly believe that there is serious conflict between  their upbringing and their family values with present day life style .I have tried  to highlight  some the problems below.
1.Easy access to money and sudden richness consequent greed to become more rich-Indian middle class has never even dreamt that with a modest education they can become millionaires with in a matter of one decade.The kind of money one gets in the  early stages of  his career ,which probably they are incapable of  handling  makes them to lead a extravagant life style devoid of any ethics.Money has over taken all other values.There is no commitment to either job,organisation for which they work.

2.Family values are shrinking and  slowly, disappearing-About ten years back one can not even imagine in Indian society unmarried men and women staying together,which now a days has become common feature  in cities.Dating and  having sex before marrige is no more a taboo. This is  a very wrong imitation of western values which is directly in conflict with their upbringing and in my opinion has certainly created a unhealthy society.

3.To day majority of the young couple do not want to  live with, in-laws / parents.Majority of the cases the first question girl side  will ask is, whether you have aged parents.If so he will not be able to find a suitable bride.Even if they marry, with in a matter of  an year or so it is very likely that they will walk out of their family or it will result in a divorce.There are cases where husband and in laws were  put behind bars based on the complaint of educated BAHU, even though it was  not  a dowry case-thanks  to PREVENTION OF DOWRY LAW.
4.Absolutely unrealistic life style.Many young  professionals  follow a life style hither too unknown to our family set up.
I may be called old fashioned person,but our values are time tested and whoever disowns it will doing so at his own peril.We see lot of young people have all sorts psychosomatic deceases at very early age.They have become very arrogant,career oriented professionals ,whose main aim  is to go up in the ladder at any cost.

This has to change if we are to build healthy society.Let us not copy western values blindly.We should copy them for their work ethics,honesty,integrity in life,certainly  not their life style and family values .

ನೋಡಿ  ಪ್ರಜೆ ಹೆದರಿ  ಓಡಿದ ಕೊತ್ವಾಲನ ಬಳಿ

ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡಿ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಆರಿಸಲು ಕೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಜೆ

Pakistan's survival depends on two weapons

Pakistan has no oil wells or any precious natural resource to attract Americans. But,Pakistani government knows very well that if they have to get western aid and support, particularly from USA they have to have a nuisance value of which  all western super powers are worried of.They have two major weapons  namely, Nuclear weapon and state sponsored terrorism.Pakistan has sheltered all major terrorist groups that can be effectively used either against India,which is their sworn enemy, or selectively used against  USA if need be.Presently, they are able to keep USA on tenter hooks by shielding most wanted terrorists like BIN LADEN and Mulla Omer.As long as these two are kept safe some where in the hills of wazirastan they can continue to derive all benefits from USA.

Pakistan knows very well   that USA will dump them the moment they hand over these two famous terrorists to USA.Therefore,they have to  play the drama of being active partners to USA in fighting global terrorism.Pakistan is very well  aware that USA has no permanent friends, they only have permanent interest.If one goes by the history of the fate of  their earlier friends like SHAH OF IRAN,no body will take chances with them.Pakistan now has become proverbial BHASMASHURA IN INDIAN MYTHOLOGY to all the western  powers.

However,one good thing USA has done to all other nations ,especially to India ,to keep Pakistan busy  fighting terrorists in their own home soil.This strategy may ultimately help USA to split Pakistan and Afghanistan.Whether this will really work in the long run one has to wait and see.

India as usual goes to Pakistan with all the proofs of terrorism on Indian soil actively supported by Pakistani establishment,which will promptly denied by Pakistan.After repeated snubbing from Pakistan we still believe that Pakistan is very serious about eliminating terror.Our foreign minister,who is oxford educated gentleman ,who is in his seventies [sometimes finds it difficult to memorise the name of our Home secretary and Pakistan foreign minister,which Burka Dutt has to prompt in her interview ]can hardly match the vitriolic  rebuttal  of Pakistan foreign minister.He can only snub our Home Secretary who has unwittingly   told the truth  of Headly confession on involvement of Pakistani establishment in terrorist activity in  India,in particular 26/11,  but not the Pakistani establishment.We Indians are good at living on false hopes,where as Pakistan is able to market terrorism for its own advantage.GOD SAVE US!

PEOPLE WHO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

In my professional career of more than three decades I had come across some people,who had made lasting impression on me by their behaviour,simplicity ,affable manners and above all their human approach,with out looking at what position you hold in the office.I  neither had an opportunity to work with them directly nor did I derive an extraordinary benefit from them, my affection for them purely based on my extremely small interaction them.

Recently,my second book namely,"Idsn story" was released on feb 4th,during grand  function held at Byalalu,the home for DEEP SPACE NETWORK OF ISRO.By the time this book was released ,I had already retired from service,however a small group of my beloved old colleagues, at ISTRAC worked hard to make this function a grand success.They  had sent invitations for  all important people of ISRO,and other organisations for this function.Just one day before my book was to be released I received a  phone call at my residence originated from DOS,which was received by my wife. My wife, refused to acknowledge the fact  that ,such a person will ever talk to her husband,that too after retirement.Considering to be a hoax call she disconnected the telephone.His PA again rang up and insisted that his boss wants to talk to me.This time she did not take chance and gave the  phone to me.I was completely taken by surprise,the person on the other end of the telephone was none other than Prof .U.R.Rao.FORMER chairman ISRO,and Secretary DOS.He had called me to congratulate me for the Book and wished me all the success.He regretted for his inability to attend the function due to other preoccupation.I was deeply touched by his simplicity and his noble gesture.They might have sent more than five hundred invitation out of which only one person,who is in his late seventies would take the trouble personally informing me.He had no compulsion to do this,but such great people will not forget even the small  contribution made by  people me.I had never worked directly under him,but even after thirty  years he remembers me by my name.He is the one, according to me is the most charismatic and lovable person in ISRO.I still  recall the incident when I was given he opportunity to speak during his send off party.Perhaps this was one of my most cherished event in my life.I can also newer forget  the incident when he agreed to  write foreword to my first book in Kannada .Such people will always remain in our heart for ever.

My encounter with other person,who could be termed as one the most powerful,unassuming ,chief executive of ISRO.Myself ,after completing  my book sent a budget proposal to him for publishing my book.With in two to three days it gets approved with out even getting modified.Then,I  requested  him to write the Foreword to my book,which gets approved even with out small modification.The person I am referring is Dr Madhavan Nair,former Chairman ISRO and Secretary DOS.If you approach him with any good proposal you will never come empty handed.Behind his serious face,he has a very soft heart,perhaps in the history ISRO,there may not be a second person who had so much concern for employees welfare and ISRO COMMUNITY as whole.

Next person I am referring is the one who has been serving  most powerful bosses of ISRO .Having worked under such people naturally people will tend to become arrogant and some time they become super bosses.On the contrary this person treats every one with equal respect and affable manners,irrespective of his position he/she holds in the office.
She normally remembers every paper that is sent  to her office ,and if by chance she does not know,  she will make all effort trace it and inform you without fail. I had sent a paper for the approval of Chairman ISRO about month back.After a month, since I did not get any reply I rang up to her and to know the status of my request.In the normal case nobody will remember such correspondence,since thousands of papers go through their office every day,out which  may be my paper is the least important one.However,she is blessed with extraordinary memory,and  she promised to inform me after tracing where it has gone.Exactly after two hours,she rings up and tells me that,she has unearthed paper from somebody,s file.In fact she had no compulsion to do this for person like me.The humility ,perhaps is her in born quality that probably ,makes her to take that extra effort help others.There is no wonder every Chairman of ISRO would like to have her in his team. The person I am referring is Mrs Yashoda  Personal Secretary for the top executives of ISRO for the last two decades.Everybody who   visits Chairman ISRO'S office will definitely endorse my view.

Felicitations of Shri SL BYRAPPA---a food for thought

A few days back, I attended a felicitation function arranged by  ಅ .ನ ಕೃ[ Anakru] foundation to felicitate the famous Kannada Author Shri S.L.Byrappa.Former Chief Justice of  Supreme court of India Shri M.N.Venkatachalaih was the chief guest and  Prof .Venkatasubbaih presided over the function.Shatavadhani Shri Ganesh spoke on the works of SLB.
What touched me most during this function was, the speech delivered by MNV ,which of course was in English,may be because ,he was more comfortable speaking in English.During his speech he gave an example of one particular leader of Famous Dravidian party.Shri Chakravarti  Rajagopalachari [CR]was a well known leader  veteran freedom fighter of congress party who later on switched over his own party called Swatantra party.This Dravidian leader had so much hatred towards CR,that in  all  his  speeches   he used  mainly  target CR with highly vitriolic language.His animosity towards CR was well known in political circles.This Dravidian leader was later , admitted to CMC Vellore for a  treatment of some serious illness.During his stay at CMC ,CR passed away in Channai.Even though,Dravidian leader was seriously ill he wanted  to attend funeral function of CR, much against the advise of doctors .But to every one's  surprise, he refused to budge and against all their advise he went to attend the last rites of CR.
In  CR's  house he  wept like child after seeing the dead body of CR.Every one was surprised by his behaviour.After a year this leader became  seriously ill and Doctors left all hopes of his survival.He enquired the doctors when is the death anniversary of CR.They informed him  the very next day is CR's death anniversary.Then it  seems he told them ," Then tomorrow must be a very auspicious day".Believe it not,he died on the very next day i.e on the  death anniversary day of CR.Is  it not a great surprise, the man who hated CR for his political and personal belief,and who never believed in religion ,caste or even god wanted to die on the same day, CR left for heavenly abode! It looks to me that he did not hate CR,but he was only fighting for the same space occupied by CR.

To me,,by telling this story MNV was sending message for the people on the Dias ,basically for two literary giants shri SLB and shri URA who  are in the opposite camps and their dislikes to each other is well known in literary circles.URA takes every opportunity to criticise SLB for his beliefs and writing's.URA is more sophisticated urbane,polished and diplomatic.He has capability change his philosophy depending on the circumstances and hone his thoughts  to please intellectual community.Where as SLB is rustic in his approach and is a realist and does not bother what other people  think about him.There is hardly any Kannadiga who has not at least read one novel of SLB.People wait for his next book and therefore ,as on  today he is one of the  most well known  writer in Kannada literature.His books sell like hot cakes and see several editions.This has created lobby in Kannada literary field to undermine his books and deliberately see that  no literary honours worth mentioning is given to him.
Do  these people  really have a  hatred to each other? I do not think so.They are jealous of SLB as a writer and respect he commands in the heart of normal Kannadiga.He has effectively filled the vacuum created by Anakru.One need not accept him as an affable person, but nobody can ignore his literary  works.After all, there are many writers,whose personal life and beliefs may not be acceptable to larger community,but their contributions to literature is enormous.The outstanding example is MR Naipaul[Noble Laurette] whose had tumultuous  personal life   .Therefore,when people are fighting for the same space it looks as if they hate each other,but on the contrary, they have admiration for each other,but jealousy will not allow them to accept it I People are jealous of SLB because, irrespective whether they like it not people read his books and admire him.In fact they are giving more popularity to his books  by writing against him.While SLB lives by his books ,others live by awards and honours.In the end what matters most is left to the imagination of the readers.

In our country we see the habit of hounding highly talented and famous people.It is not only confined to literary field but also in  all other  fields like sports,scientific,politics and film etc.We have seen SM Gavaskar making uncharitable  remarks on PT USHA another legendary figure.We always debate when Tendulkar will retire from cricket, instead of appreciating his contribution to cricket.In science situation is far worse.In post independence era we can not  even think of one persons who can match the abilities of SIR CVR,BOSE,SIR MV.All talented people migrated to foreign countries  after independence ,what is left out is managing our scientific institutions.All they have done is to open innumerable number of laboratories producing no tangible results.
There may be  some small sparks here and there but,the over all achievement is far from dismal.Under these government owned laboratories nothing much expected other than some mediocre results.

It is not that whole generations after independence is bad.We have devised a system which is intolerant towards talented people.Look at the  way politicians treated NRN on flag controversy .We had BINDRA,TENDULKAR ,PT USHA,V.ANAND,PERIERA  not because of our  system but because of their own  initiative and talent.If we look  at the history of  persons who are heading various government organisations , nine out of ten   reached  there not by talent or merit but, by various other considerations.

If we want  to produce results of international quality we need  to respect talent and merit.We should not look at the person but should look at his work.We should rise above narrow considerations of region,caste,religion and language in recognising talent and merit.

ಕಣ್ಣೀರ ಸುರಿಸುತ ಹೇಳಿದಳವಳು

ಸಾರಿ, ನನ್ನ ಚಿನ್ನ ನೀ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ ಕಿರಿ ಕಿರಿ  .

ಕಿರಿ ಕಿರಿ ಅಂತಿರೇನು , ಅದೆಷ್ಟು ದೈರ್ಯ ನಿಮ್ಗೆರೀ ?

ಹೋಟೆಲಿಗರು 'ಹೈಜಾಕ್ '  ಮಾಡಿರುವರು ಅವನ ನಾಲಗೆಯನ್ನ 

ಹಾಕಿರುವರು ಅವನ ಹೃದಯ, ಜೇಬುಗಳೆರಡಕ್ಕು  ಕನ್ನ!

ಅವನಾಡುವ ಭಾಷೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ,ತಮಿಳೋ ಏನಾದರೂ ಅಗಲಿ ಅಣ್ಣ

ಹೋಟೆಲಿನ ಶುಚಿ ರುಚಿ ತಿನಸುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಾಷಾಭೇಧವಿಲ್ಲಣ್ಣ .
ಈಗ ಬರೇ  ಚಿನ್ನ, ರನ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಮನದನ್ನೆ ಒಲಿಯುದಿಲ್ಲಣ್ಣ

ಈ ಮಾತು ಕರ್ಣಾನಂದ ,ಹೋಟೆಲಿನ ಮಂದ ಬೆಳಕಿನಡಿಯಣ್ಣ  

ಪ್ರೇಮಿಗಳ ಹೃದಯಗಳು ಬೆಸೆಯುವುದು ಈಗ ಪಾರ್ಕಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಣ್ಣ

" ಪಾರ್ಕಿನಲಿ ಬೆನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿ  ಬರುವ ಪೋಲಿಸನ ನುಡಿಮುತ್ತಿಗಿಂತ

 ಆ ಹೋಟೇಲ್ ಮಾಣಿಯ ಮೆನುಲಿಸ್ಟ್  ಎಸ್ಟು  ಚೆನ್ನ" ,
ಎಂದು  ಹೇಳಿದಳು ನನ್ನ ಚಿನ್ನ ,ಅನುಮಾನ ನಿನಗ್ಯಾಕೆ?
ಅವಳೇ  ನನ್ನಾಕೆ ,  ಆಕೆ   "ಪ್ಯೂರ್ " ಬೆಂಗಲೂರಿಗಳಣ್ಣ!

ಕೆಲಸ್ತರದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ  ಸೇರಲು

ನಾಚಿ, ಹೇಸಿ ,

ತಮಗಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ತ್ರಿಶಂಕು

 ವರ್ಗವ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ,

ಬೀಗುವ ನವ ಭಾರತದ

ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರರಿವರು.

ಧರ್ಮ ,ಜಾತಿಗಳ ಚಕ್ರವ್ಯೂಹವ 

ಭೇಧಿಸಲಾರದವರು.

ಮೂಢನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಸಂಕಲೆಯ

 ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರದವರು.
 ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜ್ಞಾನವ ಗಳಿಸಿ

ಪಂಡಿತರ ಸೊಗಡಿನಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವವರು.

ದೇಶದ ಕ್ಲಿಸ್ಟ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ

ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ  ನೀಡುವರಿವರು

ತಮ್ಮ ಭವಣೆಗೆ

ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಾಣದವರು.

ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ,ಪ್ರಜಾತಂತ್ರದ 

 ಹರಿಕಾರರಿವರು

ಆದರೂ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಕ್ಯೂನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು

ಓಟು ಹಾಕದವರು.

  ಕಾರು, ಬಂಗಲೆಗಳ  ಭವ್ಯ ಜೀವನದ  

ಕನಸುಗಾರರಿವರು ,

ಕ್ರೆಡಿಟ್ ಕಾರ್ಡ್ ಜೀವನಕೆ

ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡವರು. 

ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗಳ ಕಣ್ಮಣಿಗಳಿವರು 

ಸಾಲದ ಶೂಲದಿಂದ  ನರಳುವವರು.

ಅಷ್ಟೇನು ತತ್ವನಿಸ್ಟರೂ ಅಲ್ಲ,

ಶಿಷ್ಟಾಚಾರವನೂ   ಬಿಡಲೊಲ್ಲ ,

ಪುಡಾರಿಗೂ  ಇವರು  ಸಲ್ಲ ,
 ಮಧ್ಯಮ ವರ್ಗದವರು.

Intelectuals , and their ideological shift over the time.

In India an intellectual means a highly learned man and a scholar.In my mother tongue Kannada they are called ,"Buddhi Jeevigalu".These intellectuals being scholars should have some ideology ,which of course can change time to  time depending on prevailing circumstances.

Before independence all intellectuals were supposed to be wedded to Gandhian philosophy of non violence[ahimsa paramodhrma].If one  slaps on one side of your face show the other side  to balance it.After the death of father of the nation Ghandian philosophy was no more attractive for our intellectuals.They started searching for new ideology.Ram Manohar Lohia came to their rescue with socialistic philosophy.In 1950's and 60's Lohia's ideology of socialistic pattern of society was a buzz word for all 'Buddi Jeevis'.After the death of Lohiaji's once again our intellectuals lost interest in socialism and they were searching for new philosophy.When Mrs Gandhi declared emergency our intellectuals coolly switched over to communism.Till such time the communists were considered traitors since they opposed all patriotic movements  like Quit India movement,freedom movement and supported  invasion of India by Chinese etc.

Now Communism,basically Marxism became very attractive for these intellectuals.If one is a recognised intellectual, he should be invariably  a leftist.Then came Naxalbari  movement  which was very extreme violent movement to eliminate rural feudalism.Our intellectuals saw no danger in supporting this movement.They started writing about this movement which according to them was people war group[PWG]  which is basically meant eliminate rural feudalism.After collapse of communism world over intellectuals have to look for change.That change is now provided Maoist movement which is the new  name given to earlier Naxalbari movement.

Now all intellectuals,vote bank politicians are every day praising this movement,which has taken the lives of thousands of policemen and innocent civilians.According to our intellectuals Maoist movement is for social justice ,if guns are used for achieving this goal nothing wrong in it.

WHAT A FANTASTIC CHANGE OF INTELLECTUAL  MINDSET  FROM EXTREME NON VIOLENCE TO MINDLESS VIOLENCE TO ACHIEVE THE SAME GOAL OVER THE PAST SIX DECADES.

To be a LEADER he should not only be just a king but also should be a King maker

Mr Narayana Murty[Popularly known as NRN] Founder of Infosys Technologies was believed to have been interviewed by Azim Premji  for a job in WIPRO ,and he was not selected.Then Mr NRN went on to build Infosys ,a global technology firm presently, much bigger than WIPRO.
Infosys is an outstanding example of  Team Building and succession planning.I am not a great management expert,but I always believed that a successful leader is one who produces many leaders[Which Infosys had a vision to do and both  Mr NRN and Mr  NANDAN NILAKENI have handed over the batton to next level of leaders] who can translate his vision to reality.He need not be technological giant to head an organisation,but should have an open mind to recognise the  talent,properly reward them and retain them. 

In cricket Sir Gary Sobers is great name.He was one of the best All rounders cricket has ever known,but as a captain of West Indies he was  a great disappointment and  same is the case with Brian Lara and Sachin Tendulker.Therefore,it is not necessary one should know everything to become a leader.In fact most of the time it is counter productive to know everything,which make one to unnecessarily interfere in  subordinates work.
A few years back  I was working under a person who in my  opinion had every quality to make it big.He was highly knowledgeable,hardworking,honest.He had interest in all fields and good understanding of many subjects.People used to be scared to talk to him and give  him any suggestions.In the process , he had to make all decisions by  himself.Once I even told him,of course not to his liking ," Sir, nothing grows under banyan tree.You  must allow people to think, make their  own decisions." No doubt he was a King but,never became King maker.

I have seen many intelligent and resorceful  people who had  cultivated habit of  forming  a  very  low opinion about subordinates ,which unfortunately  they consider that their strength,and never bother about Team building and Succession planing .They hold all powers close to their chest and their vision is extremely short sighted.In the process they will remain in the same position as loners and look after only their personal growth.Later,they get disillusioned and leave the organisation.However ,it is very unlikely that they would ever succeed.Where as for  a king maker the team will follow him wherever he goes,like honey bees following the queen's bee.

A king maker to me, is one who has the ability pick up the right talent for the  right job,nurture them,take care of their interest and  their career growth and finally gain their loyalty.He should be able to appreciate that his subordinates are his goodwill ambassadors.King makers will have exponential growth curve,under him  his team will also go up in the ladder in the similar manner.

 The outstanding  exampleS for King makers are Mr NRN and DR APJ Abdul Kalam  former president of India.

Dr APJ Kalam is an  example of how a leader should be.If you have read his book 'Wings of fire' one will understand his way selecting Heads for each  Project.He is the one who transformed DRDO ,which was otherwise was  highly bureaucratic organisation to a vibrant organisation.Anybody who had worked under him always had good words for him.He took care of their interest both personal and official , where as they worked very hard to realise his dream.He himself sometime has told that," I am not great expert but,I have great people working with me." 

He is a man of great humility,compassion,honesty and great Integrity.He was in a  sense, a  real Karma yogi as told by lord Krisha in Bhaghavadgita and a true secular Indian of modern India.I was told by many who have associated with him earlier  that , he was the one  first to come to the  office and the last one  to  leave the  office.Recently, I met one of his close colleague who had worked with him when he was in ISRO.He is  a person normally does not appreciate anybody  unless he is doubly  convinced,but he had great respect and appreciation for DR APJ Kalam.In management circles,whenever you talk of  matrix management  DR Kalam's management technique is given as an outstanding  example.  His leadership qualities  can be understood by single example given below.

After he became The President of India ,He visited one of the centres of ISRO.After going to Dias he asked the Center Director," I want speak  to one person by name  Bapayya" who happened to be technician at that time.All of them wondered why he wanted to speak to him.Then he told them how this man has claimbed  the rocket launchpad tower  of SLV to separate the umbilical cord just before the launch, when it failed to get separated.It was a very risky job and he had the courage to do it.Great people do not forget the steps they have climbed after going up.They will consider it as a god given opportunity  preside over the destiny of the people and the organisation .

How many of us   follow his example? Some people may  hug lower level employees for photo session .But ,DR Kalam had  the true love and compassion for his less fortunate fellow workers.Let me also make it clear that I had never worked under him.You need to be  extremely fortunate to get King maker as your boss.If you have one you are highly blessed.

ಕಣ್ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಕೈಮುಗಿದು ನಿಂತ ಗರ್ಭಗುಡಿಗೆ.

ಘಂಟೆಯ ಶಬ್ದ ,ಜಾಗಟೆಯ ಧ್ವನಿ
ಭಕ್ತರ ಗಲಾಟೆ ,ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ತೆರೆನವ ಕಣ್ಣು
ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಮಂದಹಾಸ ಕಾಣಿಸಿತು ಅವನಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ
ಸಂತಸದಲಿ ಕೂಗಿದನವ ನಾ ದೇವರ ಕಂಡೆನೆಂದು.

ಒಡಿದನವನು ದೇವರ ನೋಡಿದ ಉನ್ಮತ್ತೆತೆಯಲಿ  ,
ಭಕ್ತರೆಲ್ಲ ನೋಡಿದರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಹಳ  ಕೌತುಕದಲಿ
ಅವನು ಓಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದ್ದ  ನಿಲ್ಲದೆ  ಮುಂದೆ
ನಾ ಓಡಿದೆ  ಬೆಂಬಿಡದೆ ಅವನ  ಹಿಂದೆ.

ಏದುಸಿರು  ಬಿಟ್ಟು  ನಿಂತು ನೋಡಿದ ನನ್ನ
ಕೇಳಿದ  ' ಯಾಕೆ ಬಂದೆ ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ?'
'ನೀನು ದೇವರ ನೋಡಿದೆಯ ?'ಕೇಳಿದೆ ನಾನು
ನೀನೊಬ್ಬ ಹುಚ್ಹ, ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ನಕ್ಕ ಅವನು.

Technology Enters Your Bedroom

First episode is about a god man having a nice time with one of the film stars,that  was video graphed by his close associate ,and then circulated to news channels  perhaps for  a hefty sum.The CD that can be classified as a pornographic material is beamed on  TV  for more than a month causing  embarrassment for family viewers.

Second instance is a Karnataka politician having  an intimate relationship with a nurse which was  also shown on  the TV news channel  in a similar  manner.The above said  politician later becomes a Cabinet Minister and the nurse who had earlier accused him for rape, reaches an understanding   with him and then matter was closed. He now becomes man of virtues and of course, continue in the cabinet as honourable minister!

Third instance which is the latest one had gone one step further.A politician claims that his wife was raped five months back by a Cabinet Minister ,that  has  been  sincerely video graphed and photographed by him when such an act was going on  in his physical presence.The minister resigns and offer himself for enquiry.We will not surprised, so called victim's husband may send a CD to TV channels for general public to see!
Oh ! Our country has progressed in all fronts,including moral degradation.The X-rated CDS that are fit to  be  shown  on adult  program channels  are being beamed on news channels for the consumption of general public.
We have known in Mahabharatha,in the  Kouravas palace , Dushyashana brother of Duryodhana  was asked to  remove  sari of Drowpadi ,the wife of five Pandavas , in their physical presence. They were  merely watching  the act like impotent men and, Lord Krisha has to come to her rescue,that is what story says.Now,  here we see a similar  instance when a person's  wife is being raped the  husband   is supposed to rescue her from such heinous act, instead goes on   taking a video and photographs.Husband's  hand was neither tied nor it was a gang rape.Victims husband who looks physically more healthier than the rapist cries for justice after five months! Is he fooling  the general public ?I had remembered to have seen a movie, few years back ,based on the novel DR. Ashok Pai ,Famous psychiatrist has dealt with such psychological tendencies.
There is lesson in all these episodes.All powerful people,especially  politicians are vulnerable for blackmail,if they get involved in immoral act ,due technology entering to their bed room.The credibility of news channels who keep  beaming such programs,with out analysing the intention of both the parties ,will go down in the eyes of public who can not taken for granted .

Astrology in India had been a part of Indian life even before the birth of Jesus Christ.There is hardly any family that do not believe it, while  finding suitable bride or bridegroom for their children in normal Indian traditionally arranged marriages.Astrology predicts the future of an individual based on the position of planets at the time of his/her birth.Present days,due to development in medical science, the baby can be artificially delivered ,  at an astrologically auspicious time!Astrology was always considered to blind belief by all scientific thinking people.Therefore, Astrologers were increasingly under pressure to prove that their prediction are   scientific.Some of the Astrologers  desperately started calling themselves Astro -scientists  to provide authenticity to their prediction.Now a days Astrology had been  further popularised by providing greater exposure to Indian masses through the Electronic media and Print media.Now we see a mushrooming growth of astrologers,Vastu experts and their number is multiplying every day.To further complicate the issue of Astrological prediction ,palmistry and numerology had been added ,and now we have experts in all the three aspects who can make a prediction about one's future considering all the three variables.

During last two decades, new element called Vastu has been added  for astrological  prediction.Now Vastu has  aggressively taken over traditional  Astrology and has become  more dominant factor in deciding ones future.Vastu experts once again claim their prediction is scientific.Vastu starts from selecting the site for constructing your house or the house where you stay.Now all architects and contractors  invariably should  know about Vastu if they have to remain in business.Which means ,your future may not  just depend only  on planets position in your horoscope but  also on so many factors like which direction the main door ,water tank,kitchen or bathroom etc are located in your house.If your house is not Vastu  compliant you may be in serious trouble.Such beliefs  had never existed two decades back. If you are staying in old house,if anything goes wrong it will be attributed to Vastu of your house,and you have no choice but  to correct it perhaps at a great cost.
In nineteen seventies Dr H.Narasimhaih popularly known as Dr HN  a respected physicist,Gandhian and former Vice Chancellor of Bangalore University [ who is no more] decided to take upon himself  to fight against all sorts of  blind beliefs  astrology,palmistry,numerology and social evils like banamathi,faith healing and  exploitation of people by god men etc.He along with small group of rational thinkers challenged every one who were involved such activities  to prove their power of prediction scientifically.Not many of them accepted the challenge except one person ,called Devi-Baktha Srinivas Rao,who had been the philosopher and guide  for many powerful politicians at that time.One day,Dr HN went  to his house  along with his followers. Dr HN was received respectfully by Mr Rao and he requested Dr HN not to perceive such activities which would  tarnish the image of Astrologers and their business.After all he said,"We owe no ill will to anybody and normally provide mental peace for all those believers."[As told by DR HN to me when he came to our college as chief guest for valedictory function in 1972.Incidentally Mr Rao was a distant  relative of mine and he was believed to be guru for such powerful people like Shri Nijalingappa, Shri B.D.Jatti and then Maharaja of Mysore.].Then  DR.HN was persuaded to give press statement by his followers but,being through gentlemen,he refused to do it .He was of the opinion that, at least one person was ready to accept the challenge  and express  sincerely vulnerability of his profession.None of the god men came forward to prove the their power.However,Dr HN was lucky that he had one problem less,since Vastu did not exit at that time.
But story did not end there.MR.Rao was asked by his mentors to advise to Mrs Gandhi,regarding the advisability of going to election post emergency.He believed to have advised Mrs Gandhi that she would come back to power with thumping majority.For once the planets  which he believed so much,did not support his prediction.Mrs Gandhi lost the election miserably,and after hearing this news he had a massive heart attack and died instantly.Now one can decide to what extent one should believe these things.

IPL-THAROOR-MODI-AND THE WHOLE MESS

When you come across Mr  Shashi Tharoor one can  not imagine that such  a person can  be either be dishonest or uncultured. I  strongly believe he is not,and unfortunately he has entered politics where he can not fit in.He is a brilliant speaker,  writer and a thinker.If you hear him, you will do nothing but appreciate him.If Sunanda Pusker was attracted  towards him there is nothing  great about it ,he has such a charismatic personality.Our present day boring politicians naturally did not like his wits and wisdom.They were gunning for him and Lalit Modi unwittingly provided the ammunition for them.

How a brilliant career of an  intellectual can  come to an end by one mistake he has unwittingly committed. If Lalith Modi goes,  few people may cry who had shared ill gotten money if any, with him.He was not doing any national duty or helping sports in the country.He has made few people who are already rich,made them stinking rich.They would any way take this money out of the country  and store it in tax heavens . May be IPL -GATE may be bigger than Harshad mehta scandal.It will soon be  forgotten once the ill gotten wealth is shared with people in powerful position.
Only two Brilliant  people  in their own right will be out of JOB  i.e Mr Shashi Tharoor and  Mr Lalith Modi.

Moral of the story  of Lalith modi-DO NOT THROW STONES WHEN YOU Live IN GLASS HOUSES.
Moral  story of Shashi Tharoor : Hundred good qualities are required to reach the top and one mistake /weakness can bring you down from where you have started.

We thought that IPL mess is a small tremor which we thought will eventually die down.Now it appears it is not just a tremor but a earth quake which may engulf many more.With this controversy  IPL finals  is going to be a very subdued affair.

Reality of Irrelevance

Last Sunday I read an article by RAVI BELEGERE in Kannda daily Vijaya karntaka on how people become irrelevant after the purpose for which they fought is realised.He quoted how Mahatma Gandhi's dream of Grama rajya and Rama rajya became irrelevant to his followers in the post independence era.Most of his followers had a different agenda after independence which was in direct conflict to his thinking and ideology.Same is the case with Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan who was an hero of anti-emergency movement ,became totally irrelevant after dethroning Mrs Indira Gandhi from power.His own hand picked Prime minister declared  him  dead when he was still alive!
Of course their name sells and therefore, their followers use their name selectively when it suits them.However their ideology is totally forgotten .
We all become irrelevant at some stage of life.We have seen, how most powerful people become irrelevant over night.The top most executive of prestigious organisation for which I was working ,had an  illustrious career of more than three decades, had to hand over his position overnight to the next man.He was in tears when had to say this in his send off speech.

Recently,we have seen a mass  movement in NEPAL by Maoists who had massacred thousands of police  and army personnel, who later on acquired  power through ballots along with other democratic parties.When they had share power with others, they almost became irrelevant .Now a days we do not hear much about them and their Leader.Now, Maoists cadre must be having cozy life and their ideology may be in shambles,unless otherwise it is again supported by external powers.

Now,Maoists in India  are having a field day.They want to overthrow the Indian state by guns.There are  Intellectuals , Pseudo intellectuals and Human right activist who are very sympathetic to them, and they keep supporting their movement and ideology irrespective of the means they adopt to achieve the end goal .Maoists movement has taken an ugly turn of extreme violence in which hundreds of police personnel and innocent people have died.
These sympathisers  must read the history of communism and  we are sure they will become irrelevant as soon as Maoists objective is achieved and they are the first one to be eliminated.  Maoists succeed where democracy fails!Only way to succeed against MAOISTS TO STRENGTHEN DEMOCRACY.Get the Maoists out of  the forest and allow them to participate in electoral process.Once they taste the power and luxury of life they will not go back to forest to lead a harsh life.I am sure many of them are willing to come back and they are not allowed to do so, because ,Maoist movement is one way ticket.
If you want to win over Maoists and make them irrelevant bring them back to lead  a normal life .May be initially you have to concede to their demands but to win a larger battle one has  to sacrifice something.Best way is to recruit them as police personnel .They are better trained than our present day policeman and in this way they can wash their sins of killing so many policemen.

Lecture on chadrayaan-1

Yesterday I was invited to give lecture by Rotary club Hiriyur to give lecture on Chandrayaan-1 ,ISRO'S first moon mission.I prepared a detailed  power point presentation on moon mission  which included a audio visual presentation also.

After reaching Hiriyur ,and then going through their programme ,I could see my presentation was scheduled as the last presentation before lunch.I new that all the people will be exhausted by that time and there will be hardly any interest to hear my lecture at 1:15 pm that too before a delicious lunch.I thought it is futile to make power point presentation for 30 minutes.Besides there was no projector or screen available at the venue.Then I decided to make a oral presentation to an audience basically from local business and other professionals community.I new the challenge before me to talk to an audience which  was very hungry by that time,not necessarily hungry about science and technology.

I spoke about half an hour,that was allotted time to me,then about  to end my lecture by thanking the organisers .To my surprise,I received a chit from the organisers to speak in Kannada for about another 15 minutes.

At the end of the talk there was interactive session and several questions were asked me .I was amazed by the interest of the non scientific community to know about science.For once I was proved wrong.

There was so much interest in ISRO'S activity that made me to realise the need  to take science to the common man.Science is not dead in this country ,there is need to popularise it.ISRO is better equipped to do this.

GSLV-D3 FAILURE

Failure of third stage of GSLV-D3 which is a cryogenic upper stage of of geosynchronous launch vehicle is a serious setback to ISRO'S  indegenisation programme of critical technologies. ISRO always boldly faced such setbacks and come out of it successfully in  the past.This kind of failure are not uncommon in cutting edge technologies.However,failure is failure and ISRO has a robust mechanism to analyse threadbare such failures and come out with innovative solutions.We are looking for the same.best of luck ISRO.

1984 delhi riots vs 2002 Gujarath riots, what is the diffrence?

In the year 1984 after the assassination of then, prime minister of India Mrs INDIRA GANDHI by Sikh body guards there was  riots at Delhi   the capitol of  Indian republic where more than 3000 Sikhs were slaughtered by agitating mob which went on for six days.These mob was believed to have been lead by by a political party . Three thousand Sikhs who had been killed by this mob were no way related to this incident except the fact that they belonged to the same community of killers.Most of these Sikhs fighting a futile battle to get justice which remained elusive even to day.


In the similar manner in 2002 there was  riots at Ahmadabad  in the Capitol of Gujarat state after burning of bogie of  a train at Godhra carrying hindu Karsevakhs who were returning from Ayodhya .some 58 karsevaks died in the train and several got injured.This burning of train was believed to be the handiwork of Muslim fundamentalists who were opposed to the destruction of Babri musjid at Ayodhya.Then riots broke out in which more than 1000 Muslims were slaughtered by agitating mob.This time it was believed that the riots had the support of another mainstream political party.These Muslims who were killed had no relation to the Godhra incident except that they belonged to the same community.

These families are  also fighting the legal battle for the last eight years to get justice.
This heinous crime which had the active support of powerful political class has been politicised so much by media debate that  it is extremely difficult to  get justice in the near future.In the second instance at least apex court has taken proactive action which has given some some hope for the victims.I as a  common citizen of  this country some time  feel  vulnerability of  the civil society for organised crime against them and  therefore would like to ask some questions to all right thinking people to ponder over and take some action to avoid occurrence such incidents in future.

1.If you can not punish even one person  26 years after riots what kind investigative agencies we are having in this country and also judicial system.Let us not think today one community that has suffered  and you are not affected by it.Here riots can engineered on the various issues,like religion,caste,language,water,regional basis .None of these crime gets punished.
2.Do you have separate law for politicians which give them immunity against crime and   corruption?
3.Is it good enough that a Sikh Prime Minister apologises to the countrymen on 1984 riots? Then you make a Muslim Chief Minister to Gujarat who will in tern apologises to the country on 2002 Godhra riots.There ends the matter ,all those who had been killed their soul will rest in peace I suppose!
4.Is Sikh riots is more humane than Godhra riots? If not why similar action is not taken in 1984 riots case?Even public attitude towards 1984 riots is highly muted.Are we sincere about a Sikh  community that had sacrificed so much for this country in nation building.

5.Are we looking at religion of the  people to respond  in the case of mass murders and not the issues involved?

6.Why we debate on electronic media by calling people whose views are commonly known?I want to ask the the media that why they can not invite  those who are unrelated to this incidents , discuss the issue impassionately like jurists,lawyers,social workers who have no political ambitions are affiliations rather than calling politicians and people whose line of thinking is well known.For ex: if you call Ram Jet malani his views are well known.This may increase media TRP ratings but it looses credibility.
7.Here one political party which prohibits north /south Indians to come to their state comments on Australian ill treating Indian citizens.Is it not height of hypocrisy.

It is high time we insulate law enforcing agencies and judiciary from politics and politicians.Politicians when comes to vote ,they do not care for law of the land.They divide the people on caste and religious lines to meet their own selfish ends.

country should rise above this narrow short sighted vision  of vested interests, and  create silent revolution by the like minded patriots of the country.

As common citizen we have not yet lost hope.
1.Please join us in asking the government to bring both judicial and police reforms.
2.Investigating agencies should be independent of political contorl.
3.All top appointment to the post of DGP,Director CBI Should be done by Police commission which should established like Election commission.
4.All police force should modernised,professionalised and humanised so that they understand the problems of the people.
5.Corruption in judiciary and police should be handled firmly and there should be no scope for immunity against misuse of office.

More we delay these things we will run into more and more problems.It is better we realise this sooner so that we rectify this aberration's  to create a healthy civil society.
